This weekend over 20 delegates from around the world were invited to attend the BISFed board in London. The focus of the meeting was to get the Referees Committee, Rules Committee and Development Committee in the same room to discuss how we can all work together to develop the game.

The Board focused on ensuring the the competition hosts for 2017 were approved. These will be announced on 15th November to help federations plan for the start of the next quadrennial. A provisional plan has also been put in place for the 2017 General Assembly, more news will follow early in the new year.

The Rules Committee worked hard to discuss all of the feedback provided by the membership. They put together a proposed list of alterations that will be published at the end of November. Member will have one last chance to comment before the new rules take effect in the new year.

The committee worked tirelessly all weekend to ensure there was a structured plan in place to help move the sport forward and ensure that a sufficient number of internationally qualified officials are trained to cope with the expanded competition calendar in 2017-2020.

The Development Committee presented a fantastic proposal to the board to help improve coach development. They will spend the next few weeks finalising a budget for their proposal before their plan is announced.

BISFed would like to thank everyone that gave up their time, their employers for allowing them the time off and the federations for their financial support in ensuring the event could go ahead. We are looking forward to announcing more news over the coming weeks!
