World Boccia is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, safety, and wellbeing across our sport. In line with this commitment, and with our responsibilities as the International Federation for the Paralympic sport of boccia, we are seeking to strengthen our safeguarding framework by forming a Safeguarding Committee.
We are therefore inviting expressions of interest from suitably experienced individuals to volunteer in the following roles:
These roles will play a critical part in supporting the development, implementation, and oversight of safeguarding policies and practices across the World Boccia community.
Lead Safeguarding Officer
The Lead Safeguarding Officer will act as the primary point of contact for safeguarding matters within World Boccia, coordinate the work of the Safeguarding Committee, and support the consistent application of safeguarding standards at international level.
Safeguarding Committee
The Safeguarding Committee will provide advice and guidance to World Boccia on safeguarding matters, contribute to policy development and review, deal with any safeguarding breaches that occur, implement safeguarding training and support a safe and inclusive environment for all participants in our sport.
