What a year 2025 was for boccia coach education! In 2025, World Boccia delivered coaching courses across all four regions, bringing together passionate people who are helping the sport grow in exciting new ways. Each course was filled with learning, connection, and a shared love for boccia.
India (26–27 July)
The Level 1 Coaching Course in Gwalior was a great success, with 14 new coaches earning their certification. Led by Coach Educators Michaela Rihackova and Jaspreet Singh Dhaliwal, participants explored everything from the rules of the game to inclusive coaching practices—an important step forward for boccia in India.
Caribbean (22–23 August – Trinidad and Tobago | 26–27 August – Barbados)
Two inspiring Level 1 courses took place across the Caribbean, delivered in partnership with the Americas Paralympic Committee. With guidance from World Boccia Coach Educator Syahirah Rasheed, 16 coaches completed their training, bringing new energy and ideas to the region.
Slovenia (27–28 September)
In Slovenia, all 12 participants successfully passed their exams, thanks to the excellent support and leadership of Coach Educators Anita Lázsló and Joana Silva. The boccia coaching community in Europe continues to grow stronger.
Saudi Arabia (16 December)
The final course of the year was held in Saudi Arabia, where 13 enthusiastic participants came together to learn, share, and grow. With the fantastic support of the Saudi Boccia Federation, the course marked another positive step in developing Boccia in the region. Led by Coach Educators Syahirah Rasheed and Michaela Rihackova.
By the end of 2025, an impressive 55 new World Boccia Level 1 coaches had joined the global coaching family. Each course highlighted the passion, teamwork, and joy that make boccia such a special sport—and the future looks brighter than ever.
