World Boccia is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Charmaine Hooper, chief executive of World Abilitysport.
Charmaine was a trusted friend and colleague to so many across the boccia and wider Para sport community, and her loss will be felt profoundly by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.
Charmaine’s lifelong commitment to Para sport, her compassion, and her advocacy for athletes and organisations alike left an indelible mark. Her leadership, warmth and generosity of spirit earned her immense respect, and she played a vital role in strengthening the global Para sport movement through her work, collaboration and friendship.
