World Boccia is recruiting a new Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Marcelo Patricio, the previous CMO, has stepped down from the role and we thank him for his contribution to boccia.
The CMO leads on crucial medical and anti-doping matters within our sport. The role includes chairing the TUE Committee; leading on the management of any potential anti-doping rule violations; and advising on medical provision at World Boccia events. There is flexibility for the successful candidate to develop the role according to their own areas of interest / expertise.
The CMO must be a qualified medical practitioner with knowledge of anti-doping in sport. Please see the document below for the full person specification. It is a voluntary role with a likely time commitment of a couple of hours per week maximum.
