Indonesia produced a stunning quadruple gold medal success at the Seoul 2025 World Boccia Cup.
Led by Paralympic bronze medalist Muhamad Syafa, Indonesia won three golds in the individual tournaments and were also crowned champions in the BC1/2 Team event.
As well as Syafa’s triumph in the men’s BC1 class – where he defeated former Paralympic champion David Smith of Great Britain – the Indonesians were also winners at BC1 female, through Handayani Handayani, as well as Muhammad Herlangga at BC2 Male.
Indonesia also picked up two silvers through Gischa Zayana (BC2 Female) and Felix Ardi Yudha (BC2 Male) to finish with an impressive tally of six medals in total.
It was a notable triumph in the city which will hold the World Championships next year.
The Asian nations led the way, with the continent gaining a clean sweep of gold medals across the eight individual classifications.
Japan took two golds, with one apiece for hosts South Korea, Hong Kong China, and Malaysia.
Great Britian won gold in the BC4 pairs, thanks to Paris Paralympic champion Stephen Maguire and Sophie Newnham.
Australia were BC3 pairs champions through Dan Michel and Jamieson Leeson.
Congratulations to all medal winners and all the other athletes competing in Seoul.
