Day 9

Ho steals the show!

It’s time to turn to the team events as we look back at the boccia finals at the Paris Paralympic Games, six months on.

Ho Yuen Kei – (Pic: Raquel Gouveia) – had already claimed one solo triumph by winning the women’s BC3 individual event and now the Hong Kong China athlete struck gold again.

This time, Ho came out on top with teammate Tse Tak-wah as Hong Kong China won a third gold medal in the BC3 mixed pairs.

They beat South Korea’s Jeong Ho-won and Kang Sun-hee 5-3 in an absorbing final.

The Hong Kong China pair raced into a 3-0 lead – were pegged back at 3-3 by Jeong and Kang – but then rallied again with some deadly accurate shot-making to take the title.
