World Boccia is fully committed to doping-free sport.  If an athlete with a medical condition needs to legitimately use a prohibited substance or method for treatment or management of this condition, they need to apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE).  World Boccia’s Therapeutic Use Exemption Committee (TUEC) determine whether a TUE can be granted.  It is only accepted if there are no other suitable permitted medications or treatments that can be used.

World Boccia are currently recruiting additional members for the TUEC.  Please see this link for further details of the role and application process.  The key requirement is to be a qualified medical practitioner.  The deadline for applications is 31st March.

Please could you share this role with anyone in your networks who you think might be interested.  TUEs are an important part of anti-doping work in boccia and growing the TUEC will make the process of applying for a TUE more streamlined.
