BISFed President – Mr. David Hadfield – and BISFed Technical Delegate for the Tokyo 2020 Boccia competition – Ms. Cannie Leung – have completed their 5th inspection visit to Tokyo, meeting with several functional areas of the organizing committee and visiting the Competition venue – Ariake Gymnastics centre.

BISFed is impressed with the venue which is ready and already being used for Gymnastics Test Events as it will also host the Gymnastic Olympic competitions. This will be the largest crowd yet for a Paralympic Boccia competition with a capacity of 12,000 spectators. The venue is fully accessible which will be excellent for Boccia athletes and spectators alike.

The Ariake Gymnastics centre will also host the 2020 Japan Para Championships, which will be the Test Event for the Paralympic competition between February 28th and March 1st 2020.

The Paralympic competition will be held between August 29th and September 5th 2020. The Boccia family is looking forward to a great competition.
