We are now welcoming bids from our members for our 2016 Boccia events. The 2015 calendar has been filled with 7 events and a further 4 are scheduled to take place in 2016.
As well as getting the opportunity to compete at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, Boccia players from around the world will have 3 world opens to chose from and those high enough in the rankings will have the chance to take part at the Boccia World Individual Championships. Scheduled events for 2016 include:
- 2016 Boccia World Individual Championships – this event must be held before the 31st March. It is the final opportunity for athletes to earn World Ranking points ahead of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. The winner in each classification event will automatically qualify for Rio 2016.
- 2016 Boccia World Open Championships – the BISFed competition calendar allows for one event per region in 2016 (maximum of 3 competitions). World Ranking points from these events will be added AFTER the the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. These events should be held after the 1st April.
