Our final reflection on the individual winners at Paris 2024 – six months on from the Games – takes us to the women’s BC4 final.
It was an all-Asian battle between Lin Ximei of China (Pic: Raquel Gouveia) and Hong Kong China’s Cheung Yuen.
Lin went ahead and continued to build a big advantage to become China’s first boccia Paralympic gold medal winner.
China would go on to back that up by winning the BC1/BC2 team event, in what was a transformative Games for boccia with no less than 14 countries represented on the podium.
