Let’s go, Ho!

One of the notable features of Paris 2024 six months ago was the quality of play in the women’s finals, the first time the Paralympic Games had offered individual men’s and women’s events in boccia.

Ho Yuen Kei (Pic: Raquel Gouveia) was at her second Games, but the Hong Kong China athlete knew she had a real challenge on her hands against Australia’s Jamieson Leeson in the final.

Ho produced some inspired play, though, to go 4-0 ahead and even though the Aussie fought back, some shrewd defensive play was enough to claim gold for Ho.
