World Boccia is looking for a city to host the 2026 World Boccia Championships. The World Boccia Championships is the highlight in the calendar of World Boccia events and takes place once every four years. The fourth edition of the World Boccia Championships was excellently hosted by Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, in 2022.
Hosting the 2026 World Boccia Championships will have positive sporting, economic, touristic and social impacts on the city. While a major undertaking, it is also a real honour and opportunity.
Cities and organisations interested in hosting the 2026 World Boccia Championships are invited to complete a two-stage application process to enable World Boccia to fairly evaluate all potential hosts:
– Stage One is an Expression of Interest. The deadline for this is 1600 (UK) Friday 30th June 2023.
– Stage Two is a Full 2026 World Boccia Championships Candidature Bid. The deadline for this is 1600 (UK) Friday 17th November 2023.
