BISFed would like to welcome 3 new volunteers that have been selected as part of a lengthy recruitment process by the IPC. The 3 volunteers will help us improve our social media presence and drive engagement through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with structured campaigns and exciting new material.

Matt Broadbent is from Wales and is a qualified national coach, referee and coach tutor. He currently referees at various events across the UK at club and academy level. In addition, Matt acted as a Lines Person & Timer at both Belfast 2011 and London 2012 as well as more recently at the BISFed 2013 European Team and Pairs Championships. In addition to helping improve BISFed’s social media presence, Matt also has ambitions to become a international referee.

Joanna Marchlewicz is from Poland and acts as a sports assistant for Marco Dispaltro. Her proudest moment in the boccia was organising the BISFed 2015 World Open event in Poznan. Joanna has been involved in boccia at various levels since 2010 and has recently started her own Boccia blog – Boccia Outside The Box.

Ho Yuenkei represents Hong Kong and is currently ranked number 5 in the BC3 individual world rankings. Yuenkei, who has been part of the international team since 2008, has most recently won 2 gold medals at the Fazza BISFed 2017 Dubai Regional Open Championships and hopes to add more medals to her collection later in the year. Yuenkei hopes to give boccia fans a unique inside track on the life as an elite athlete.
