Day 2

Awesome Aurélie

Welcome to day two of our celebration of boccia at last summer Paralympic Games in Paris.

On Friday, we featured men’s BC1 gold medal winner, John Loung. Today’s it’s the turn of the women’s BC1 champion, Aurélie Aubert (Pic: Raquel Gouveia).

The French athlete drew inspiration from her home crowd to draw ahead of Singapore’s Jeralyn Tan in the final, before making what seemed a huge tactical error.

It set up a nerve-jangling climax to the match and one of the most dramatic and emotional moments of the Games.
