After more than 20 years as the Chair of BISFed’s Classification Committee, Elsa Matthee is stepping down from the role in order to spend more time with her family and loved ones. Elsa will continue as a valued International Classifier for Boccia and as a BISFed Board member.

The Vice-Chair of the Classification Committee, Shail Maharaj from Australia will become the interim Chair.

BISFed President David Hadfield said: “ I am sure the whole boccia family will join me in thanking Elsa for her dedication and expertise over such a long time in building our Classification capability. She has been a shining example of what our volunteers do to make our sport great. I am so pleased Elsa will still be able to contribute as a Board Member and an International Classifier.”
