It was a close semi-final BC2 match between Chee Hoong Lee from Malaysia, ranked 7th in the competition and 38th in the world and Hiu Lam Yeung from Hong Kong, ranked 3rd in the competition and 9th in the World.

Hiu Lam Yeung came out on top after the first two ends with a score of 2×0, scoring one point in each end. But end 3 was crucial for Chee Hoong Lee as he scored 4 points in this end showing an amazing comeback and celebrating with a loud cheer after the last ball was thrown.

In the 4th and final end, Chee Hoong Lee threw a long ball and placed the Jack towards the end of the court. This proved difficult for Hiu Lam Yeung. She was ahead by one point after throwing all her balls, with a magnificent last shot. This already meant victory for Chee Hoong Lee who played his third ball and then forfeited his last 3 balls, losing the final end but winning the match 4×3.

Congratulations to both athletes for an enthralling match!
