BISFed is pleased to announce that an updated ‘Mark 2’ version of the Standard Boccia Ball Test Kit is now available. Mark 2 has three significant improvements over the original design:
- The two aluminium bars are now threaded so they can be fixed to the device at a secure angle of 25◦ (+/- 0.5◦)
- There are two levelling feet (rather than four) which makes the device easier to level
- The ball testing template is secured to its stand by means of screws to improve stability

BISFed also has a limited number of ‘upgrade kits’ which can be retro-fitted to the original ‘Mark 1’ device. The upgrade kit replaces the original aluminium bars with threaded bars to provide better stability and a more secure angle. The upgrade kits will be on sale at the forthcoming World Open competition in Povoa and also at the World Championships in Liverpool at a cost of £20 (or €25).
