Over the last 18 months we’ve worked hard with our technology partner Sport:80 to develop a bespoke Competition Management System (BCMS) to assist our event organisers and our technical officials manage events. We’ve invested our time and resource to ensure we provide the best tool possible for the management of the competition meaning the organisers can focus on delivering a World class event.
The BCMS allows the technical delegate, head referee and referees to manage the schedule, input live score and display results. Not only is this tool useful at the event, but it also allows the wider public to track scores as they happen!
BISFed Operations Manager, Dom Tremblay said ”The new BCMS will allow the Boccia family to follow competitions more closely, the scores will populate as they are entered by the scorers meaning we can follow all of the action as it happens from the event in Sant Cugat from wherever we are’
Although tests have been done at various events over the last 18 months this is the first time the system has been used for a whole event. The BISFed Sport Management System collects the entries and feeds the entry data directly into the BCMS. In time this will be further developed to update rankings but for now we want boccia fans around the world to enjoy being able to view live results online.
